Straight answers about quotations, condition, preparation, collection, payment and your information.
What types of items does Zarax consider?
Zarax considers selected technology, appliances, fitness equipment and household items. Start with the item directory because buying scope can change and acceptance is never automatic.
Do I have to accept a quotation?
No. A quotation request does not commit you to sell, and a quotation does not create a completed sale. Read the details and ask about anything unclear before agreeing.
Which details help you assess an item?
The exact make and model, working condition, faults, included accessories, clear photographs and collection location are the best starting point. See where to find a model number and how to take useful photos.
Can I ask about an item with a fault?
Yes, where the relevant quotation page accepts condition details. Describe exactly what happens and do not hide intermittent faults. For televisions, use the broken TV page. An offer is not guaranteed.
How is an offer assessed?
Model, specification, condition, completeness, current demand, testing risk and collection or delivery requirements can all matter. Our condition guide explains these factors in more detail.
What happens after I submit a request?
The team reviews the details and may ask a focused follow-up question. If Zarax can proceed, the proposed price, handover and payment details should be agreed in writing. Read the step by step guide.
Do you collect items?
Collection may be available for an accepted item, depending on its type, location and practical access. Tell us about stairs, parking, narrow doors and disconnection requirements before arrangements are confirmed.
Should I disconnect a large appliance?
Only if this has been agreed and you can do it safely. Use a competent person when required. The washing machine collection checklist is a useful example.
How should I prepare a phone or computer?
Back up anything you need, remove accounts and activation locks, and follow the manufacturer’s current reset instructions. Start with our phone checklist or laptop data guide.
How will payment work?
The proposed payment method and timing should be confirmed for the specific transaction. Always verify funds in your own account rather than relying on a screenshot. Read our payment comparison.
What if Zarax cannot make an offer?
You remain free to keep the item, seek another buyer, consider a competent repair or use an appropriate recycling route. This decision guide can help.
How is my personal information handled?
The privacy policy explains how personal information is used and your rights. Do not place passwords, one-time codes or unnecessary identity documents in an item form.
