Start with usefulness, not the original price
An item does not need to be new to interest a buyer. It does need to be identifiable, honestly described and practical to reuse or collect. Before clearing a cupboard or spare room, find model numbers, gather accessories and test ordinary functions safely.
Do not spend hours restoring everything. A five-minute check often tells you whether an item deserves a proper quotation, a repair assessment or a recycling route.
1. Dehumidifiers
Record the extraction capacity, tank size, model, filters and drainage hose. Run the unit normally and note noise, leaks or a faulty humidistat. Empty and dry the tank before transport. The dehumidifier quotation page asks for the details that separate compact bedroom units from larger machines.
2. Air purifiers
Room coverage, filter type, sensor operation and replacement history matter more than a shiny outer case. Photograph the model label and filter compartment without releasing loose dust into the room. Use the air purifier quote form for the exact model and included remote or power supply.
3. Portable air conditioners
A portable unit needs its exhaust hose, connectors, window kit and remote to be easy to reuse. Check cooling, drainage and signs of leakage. Include the stated BTU rating when requesting an air conditioner quotation.
4. Ovens
Built-in, freestanding and range-style ovens need different collection planning. Record fuel type, dimensions, model and ordinary heating or fan behaviour. 5. Grills

6. Plant collections

7. Alexa and Echo devices

8. Older iPods

9. Smartwatches
Unpair the watch properly, remove account locks and gather the charger and straps. Record the brand, model, case size, connectivity and battery behaviour. A cracked screen, worn crown or third-party strap should be disclosed on the smartwatch page.
10. Desktop computers
A custom desktop needs more than a photograph of the case. Record the processor, memory, storage, graphics card and motherboard where known. Back up and erase personal data before using the computer quotation page. Include cables and peripherals only when they are part of the sale.
11. Projectors

12. VR headsets

13. Drones

14. Skateboards and snowboards

15. Barbells and punching bags

A five-minute triage for any item
Find the model, check whether it works, gather essential accessories, photograph condition and note collection constraints. If a fault makes the item unsafe, stop testing it. If personal data is involved, complete the account removal and reset before handover.
